WHO WE ARE
One World, One Spirit (referred to throughout as the abbreviation ‘OWOS’) is an exciting event being coordinated and ran by the West Midlands District Council of the Spiritualists’ National Union. As a registered UK Charity and religion, we take the confidentiality of your data and information very seriously.
As this website has been built specifically to highlight and draw wider public attention to our upcoming ‘One World, One Spirit’ event in July 2018, we have no need, use or desire to use your personal data and contact information in any way other than absolutely essential (which is pretty much not at all).

It also allows us to see how many visitors go on to click through to the associated websites, go on to purchase tickets for our event and other important statistical information that we need.

The cookies stored on your computer or other device when you access our websites are designed by OWOS directly, or third party software and programme developers for the purposes of analytics.
What are cookies used for?
The main purposes for which cookies are used are: –
1. For technical purposes essential to effective operation of our website.
2. To enable OWOS to collect information about your visitor browsing patterns, interaction with specific areas of the site, clickthrough to ticket sales and other important diagnostics.
How do I disable cookies?

What happens if I disable cookies?
This depends on which cookies you disable, but in general the website may not operate properly if cookies are switched off. This may lead to audio-visual problems and other complications with successfully navigating the site.
When someone visits www.oneworld-onespirit.com, we used a third party service – Google Analytics – to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns.
We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to certain parts of the sites, the general geographic location of visitors and other important diagnostics.
This information is only processed in a way which does not identify any persons. We do not make, and do not allow any third parties to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our site.
When you purchase a ticket for our One World, One Spirit event, you will be required to enter certain personal contact information such as your name, address data, email and contact numbers via the eCommerce software on our sister website that handles ticket sales, located at www.wmdc-snu.org.
The handling of information on that site is detailed herein as www.oneworld-onespirit.com contains several click-through links and calls to action to book tickets on that site.
Any information provided at the point of ticket sale is essential in order for us to verify purchases, ensure tickets are posted or emailed to the correct persons, and also to have a means of getting in touch with the customer should there be any important updates regarding the event (i.e. cancellation or refunds).
Please be assured that this information is privately and safely stored on our online booking software, is only accessible by the WMDC webmaster and WMDC secretary, and all such information will be deleted within 30 days of the event taking place.
Please also be assured we do not share any personal details with any other company without your express prior consent.
We expressly do not share any specific personal information with any third parties without express prior consent from the individual.
We may share anonymised personal information with other organisations, particularly Birmingham Town Hall and Symphony Hall, purely for purposes of expected visitor numbers and booking levels. In the process of promoting and previewing the event with local, regional and national press and media, we may also cite expected or actual booking figures and other anonymised personal information and visitation quotas.
We will never share sensitive information or payment details with any other persons or parties.

The Privacy Notice was last updated on Tuesday 1st May 2018. It will be re-assessed on a regular basis to ensure it is in accordance with any updated legislation and remains accurate, and amended accordingly where necessary.
